Before you spend money on a website, before you start with Facebook ads, and certainly before you start writing that author bio, you need to get this down:

You are a brand, and your product is your book. Therefore, if you want to attract loyal readers for life, you need to get them to fall in love with you.

Before our workshop, start thinking about the following questions:

·      What is your author brand all about?

·      Who are you—really?

·      What is it about you that makes me want to hear from you every day?

·      Why should I come to your website? Will I be educated? Be entertained?

·      Why should I follow you on social media?

·      Why will I love your book?

Critique handouts are due for:

  1. Nikki Davis

  2. Tanya McCoy

Before you get started on your critique handout, please refer to our Critique Submission Guidelines. If you go over the word count of 2,000 words, we will ask you to redo it. Shayla will tag you in the Yukon Writers’ Society Group the day before with a headcount so you know how many to bring.

Critique feedback is due for:

  1. Gayleen Greer

  2. Carolyn Blevins

We will be discussing our feedback as a group to help Gayleen and Carolyn learn and grow as writers.
